Illumination is great, it is mysterious, it is useful. We certainly need it when we are driving at night, and of course it makes us aware of others during daylight hours. It is produced, controlled, and detected in so many ways around you. It is a wave, and each of these colors corresponds to a different frequency, and therefore wavelength, of it. It is a particularly suitable choice for demonstrating electromagnetic waves because complicated instrumentation is unnecessary since our bodies come equipped with a pair of remarkably sensitive and versatile optical detectors. It is the electromagnetic radiation that stimulates the eye. It is a kind of energy that can travel through space. It is all around us, yet so much about it remains a mystery. In a scientific context, the word is sometimes used to refer to the entire electromagnetic spectrum. This fixed definition of the speed of lite is a result of the modern attempt, in physics, to define the basic unit of length in terms of the speed of lite, rather than defining the speed of lite in terms of a length. If the beam of lite is not orthogonal to the boundary, the change in wavelength results in a change in the direction of the beam. When the concept of lite is intended to include very-high-energy photons (gamma rays), additional generation mechanisms include :radioactive decay particle-antiparticle annihilation. According to the Samkhya School, light is one of the five fundamental "subtle" elements (tanmatra) out of which emerge the gross elements. The lite is usually created by fluorescent lamps, bright LEDs or dichroic filament bulbs. Seeing colors and shapes is second nature to us, yet lite is a perplexing phenomenon when we study it more closely. This interpretation is perfectly valid and makes good physical sense, but amore modern interpretation is that the speed of light is constant in general relativity. Finally, we come to the conclusion that the speed of light is not only observed to be constant; in the light of well tested theories of physics, it does not even make any sense to say that it varies.
